Internship opportunities at TuTr Hyperloop:

About TuTr Hyperloop: Avishkar Hyperloop is a student team from IIT Madras formed in 2017 with the objective of participating in various Hyperloop competitions across the world. Under the guidance of Prof. Satya Chakravarthy, the team has been consistently pushing the boundaries of product development and has filed for multiple patents. In 2021’s European Hyperloop Week, they won the award for the most scalable design. To hasten the product development and to commercialise the technology, TuTr Hyperloop is being incubated out of the IIT Madras Incubation Centre

Current Openings: 

Designation: Design Engineer

Location: Chennai

Skill Set: 

(a) Good understanding of basic physics (kinematics and dynamics)

(b) Well-versed with cad modeling software for eg. Solidworks
(c) Knowledge of simulation software Ansys Workbench (static structural module)
(d) Candidates who have worked in teams participating in competitions like Supra, Baja or any equivalents mainly focusing on the mechanical design of chassis, suspension or similar components will have added advantage.
(e) Candidates with good project experience (not necessarily Supra, Baja) will have added advantage.

Eligible Streams (Both UG and PG):

All streams allied to Mechanical Engineering - Final Year PG and UG

CGPA requirements: 

8 or above - Should have passed all subjects in first attempt

Designation: Machines and control Engineer

Skill Set: 

(a) Good understanding on Basic physics (kinematics, current and electricity, electromagnetism)

(b) Good understanding of electric machines and controls

(c) In depth knowledge in Power electronics and drives

(d) Candidates with good project experience will have added advantage.

Eligible Streams (Both UG and PG):

All streams allied to Electronics and Electrical Engineering - Final Year PG and UG

CGPA requirements: 

8 or above - Should have passed all subjects in first attempt

Designation: Vehicle dynamics Engineer

Skill Set: 

(a) Good understanding of basic physics (simple harmonic motion) and vibrations
(b) Well-versed with cad modeling software like Solidworks.
(c) Knowledge of simulation software for linkages like Adams or similar software
(d) Candidates who have worked in teams participating in competitions like Supra, Baja or any equivalents mainly focusing on the mechanical design of suspension or similar components will have added advantage.
(e) Candidates with good project experience in dynamics (not necessarily Supra, Baja) will have added advantage.
