We thought it’s an appropriate time to give you insights into “New Vistas of Indian A&D”, a strategic discussion event to get better understanding of the Indian Aerospace & Defense industry in Global context ahead of the Asia’s Premier Airshow, the Aero India 2013. This event comprising of several interactive panel discussions will be held on 5th February, 2013 at Fortune Select JP Cosmos, Cunningham Crescent Road, Bangalore. SAE India Aerospace Board & SAE India Bangalore Section in association with Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industries (IFCCI) and Indo-French Center for Promotions of Advanced Research (IFCPAR) is gathering the brightest minds of the Indian and International A&D industry under one roof to get the debates & discussions moving in a direction to explore solutions. What's the discussion about?

The aerospace industry is undergoing a global transformation. The aerospace supply chain is on the course of evolution with new players emerging outside the traditional aerospace dominating regions of the world like USA, France, Germany and the UK. In this transforming backdrop, India is witnessing its own growth. Several reports have been published on the potential in both military and commercial sector of aerospace in India due to the growing demands in the country. It is true that with potential and opportunities come challenges. India is expected to cater to a booming Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry in the coming decade, but as with every opportunity there will be challenges faced across various areas in the industry.

“New Vistas of Indian A&D” - this strategic level discussion program will explore the way forward for the A&D Industry and aim to seek solutions to the various issues and challenges faced by the industry. The discussion sessions will provide a platform to foster honest debates on the current scenario in the Industry. The panelists will respond to the issues faced by the visiting delegates creating an interactive environment with a hope to bring forth strategic solutions. With Aero India 2013 in the backdrop, this discussion session will help the participants better understand the Indian A&D industry and take informed decisions in the next few days at the airshow. IFCPAR’s mandate is to promote collaborative research between India and France in cutting edge Science and Technology.
